Alfie is a 2004 American-British comedy romance film starring Jude Law as the title character. It is written and directed by Charles Shyer and a remake of the 1966 film of the same name starring Michael Caine.
The 2004 version of Alfie takes place in New York City, rather than in London, where the original 1966 film was set. The 2004 film casts a revealing light on social history, reflecting the enormous changes in society and morals in the 38 years since the original film was made.
